It is the road between Ciudad Real and Toledo, city where it joins the Camino del Sureste.
This is a path full of history when communication channel used by the nobility and clergy between the capitals of the Christian kingdoms (Toledo) and Muslim (Córdoba).
John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila traveled that road, and there are literary references of Don Quixote, who claim that Canons from Granada also used in the seventeenth century to the pilgrimage to the tomb.
The marked routes here are indicative and are intended for campers because they are traveling by car and calculate considering the quickest route by road. If the road is going to do on foot or by bike, surely not the best route for it should follow the directions of the road marking or other means or specific maps to make way.
