It consists of 6 stages with a total distance of 126 kilometers. It is a variant of the French Way until the Primitive Way, which from Leon took many pilgrims to the Cathedral of San Salvador in Oviedo, to venerate the relics kept at the Holy Chamber (declared World Heritage by UNESCO) which houses the jewels most precious cathedral: agates box, the crosses of Victoria and Los Angeles and the Holy Ark, which contains a large number of relics among which is the Holy Shroud.   In the Middle Ages it was said that "Who will not visit Santiago and Salvador, will house servant and no visit to his master." Today it is a path that is well signposted
